Why are Punjabis so proud of being a punjabi?
I
have often seen punjabis answer the following questions with a simple
phrase "we are punjabi" and I seriously want to know why do they boast
so much about being a punjabi
Q1) Why do they eat so much?
Q2) Why do they abuse so much?
Q3) Why do they drink so much?
Q4) Why are they so carefree?
Q5) What are they proud of?
I want some good reasons as to how the phrase mentioned in the question justifiably answers the questions mentioned above?

I feel this is a very relevant question and i'll try my best to give a rational justification. (please pardon my English)
Q1) Why do we eat so much?
Ans: It is common knowledge that Punjab is known for its fertile land. Agriculture is the largest industry in Punjab; it is the largest single producer of wheat in India. And not just that, if you talk to Punjabis from our parent's generation you would find out that at some point or the other they owned cattle (well...most of them did). So, What do you do when you see food and rivers of milk everywhere (i mean figuratively....ofcourse!
